This summer, why not try your hand at making traditional local cuisine in the cool comfort of a hotel?
We have prepared a special accommodation plan, limited to one group per day and available only on weekdays, where you can experience making "Kakushi Sushi," a representative local dish of Okayama.
"Kakushi sushi" is said to have originated from the ingenuity of ordinary people in response to the "Frugality Edict (one soup, one dish)" issued by Ikeda Mitsumasa, the lord of the Bizen domain during the Edo period.
"It looks like ordinary rice, but when you flip it over...!?"
You can learn about the history and wisdom of the Edo period in a fun and engaging way with your family or group. It's also perfect for your child's summer vacation research project.
