Information on tours to experience traditional crafts and watch traditional dance and music in Nara.
The following event will be held at the Nara Craft Museum. This is a valuable opportunity to have a unique experience, so please join us if you are interested.
◆Craft experience
You can experience coloring "Kogaku masks," which are used in Shinto rituals (such as Bugaku dance) performed at shrines and temples in Nara. You can have a valuable experience while receiving guidance and listening to stories from Ryudo Nakabo, an artist who has been working on Kogaku mask production for over 60 years.
◆Himuro Shrine Ritual Experience
Enjoy a unique Gagaku (court dance and music) performance from a special seat at Himuro Shrine, a historic shrine in Nara. You can also experience the offering of ice lanterns, a fitting experience for a shrine that, as its name suggests, enshrines "ice."
