Nara Hotel (1096 Takahata-cho, Nara City, General Manager: Ryuta Harada) will be closed for large-scale renovation work starting with check-out on January 4, 2026. We express our sincere gratitude for the warm support we have received from everyone over the years.

Following this large-scale renovation, New Building will be reborn as the "West Building" offering an even more comfortable space for our guests. Alongside Main Building, which has woven together many eras and been carefully preserved, West Building 's concept is "Pure and Serene," reflecting our desire to remain pure, unwavering, and authentically present in this place, both now and in the future. Based on this concept, we are preparing to deliver a quiet, peaceful, and unique space to all our guests. Furthermore, Main Building will retain its original charm, continuing its presence into the future as a special space. From June 4th, 2026 (Thursday), Main Building guest rooms, main dining room "Mikasa," TEA LOUNGE, bar "THE BAR," and Souvenir shop will reopen. Reservations for Main Building guest rooms and main dining room "Mikasa" begin today, January 4th. It should be noted that the last time the hotel operated solely in Main Building was 42 years ago, in 1984, when New Building was completed. We are sincerely looking forward to seeing you again at Main Building, which has a long history dating back to its founding in 1909.

■Notice Regarding the Closure and Reduced Operations Nara Hotel Due to Large-Scale Renovation Work
〇The entire building will be closed from January 4, 2026 (Sunday) to June 3, 2026 (Wednesday).
Reduced operating hours (Main Building only): June 4, 2026 (Thursday) to around the end of August 2026 (tentative)
Facilities for business: Guest rooms (Main Building), main dining room "Mikasa", TEA LOUNGE,
Bar "THE BAR", Souvenir shop
*During the reduced operating hours, construction work will be carried out in West Building. Construction hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (generally)
Depending on the nature of the work, noise may be generated within Main Building.
During construction, there will be traffic and parking of large vehicles and movement of construction workers on the premises.
Due to construction work, there may be restrictions on access near the hotel's Main entrance, which may prevent you from taking photos of Main Building building. We appreciate your understanding.
