Artificial flowers made from recycled materials will be placed on bamboo branches. Visitors will write their wishes on Tanabata strips of paper and hang them on the bamboo branches. After the event ends, the bamboo branches will be dedicated to Osaki Hachimangu Shrine in Sendai.
