The 4th Pastry Chef Contest is being held – Seven pastry chefs selected from various hotels will compete to create a plated dessert and petit fours using spices.
West Japan Railway Hotel Development Ltd. (Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture; President and CEO: Masafumi Ise) held the "4th JR-West Hotels Patissier Contest" on Tuesday, March 4, 2025.

Competition Details: The challenge is to create a plated dessert and petit fours using spices, designed to be served after a French appetizer, fish dish, and meat dish, and to create a dessert that fits the course menu. Judging will consist of two parts: "tasting evaluation" and "technical evaluation."
