West Japan Railway Hotel Development Ltd. (Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture; President: Masafumi Ise) will begin accepting reservations for two types of "JR-West Hotels Osechi" at its eight JR-West Hotels locations starting September 12, 2024 (Thursday).

The "JR-West Hotels Osechi" is a popular item every year. This year, our Japanese and Western cuisine specialists have once again focused on the ingredients and cooking methods to create a fulfilling bento box befitting the start of the new year.
We have completely revamped the contents from last year and now offer two types of Osechi (traditional Japanese New Year's food): the exquisite three-tiered "Kiwami" which uses an abundance of luxurious ingredients, and the gorgeous two-tiered "Irodori" which allows you to enjoy a variety of dishes in small portions. Furthermore, with the desire to help you enjoy your Osechi even more, we will also be selling as an option a sake set that pairs well with the two-tiered "Irodori," supervised by a sake specialist representing JR-West Hotels.

To maintain the flavor and freshness of the dishes, this product will be delivered frozen to your desired delivery address. We deliver to a wide area throughout Japan, making it perfect not only for your own home but also as a gift for family or loved ones living far away. Please enjoy these dishes that will beautifully adorn the start of the new year.

This year's recommended Osechi New Year's feast is supervised by specialists in both Japanese and Western cuisine at JR-West Hotels, and features a completely revamped menu from last year. Not only does it offer authentic flavors, but with 53 items—10 more than last year—it's a generous portion that can be enjoyed by three generations of a family. The first and second tiers feature a colorful array of traditional Japanese Osechi dishes, such as "Abalone Simmered in Sauce" and "Fugu (Pufferfish) and Sea Urchin Salad." The third tier offers a selection of elegant Western dishes befitting a hotel, including "Roast Beef," "Beef Cheek Braised in Red Wine" (to be enjoyed warm), "Caviar," and "Truffle Butter Bread."

The second tier is packed with exquisite French dishes, including meat and seafood, that pair perfectly with alcohol. This year, you can optionally purchase a set of sake selected by a sake specialist representing JR-West Hotels.
