[Nara Hotel] September 9th designated as "Japan Classic Hotel Day" - Special hospitality with commemorative coasters
The Classic Hotels Association (established in 2017) is a collaborative effort of nine hotels across Japan that boast a rich history and tradition. Its aim is to pass on to future generations the architectural value, hospitality culture, and stories of their long-standing partnerships with their respective communities.
To further promote these values and increase awareness of them as tourist resources among domestic and international travelers, as well as to foster awareness of their preservation and sustainable operation, we have registered September 9th as "Japan Classic Hotel Day," based on the wordplay of "classic" (ku = 9) and the fact that there are nine member hotels.
In addition, to celebrate the establishment of the commemorative day, we have created limited-edition "commemorative coasters." These coasters will be used only on September 9th at the nine participating hotels, and will also be used to generate buzz on social media.
The Japan Classic Hotels Association will continue to promote the value of historic hotels and strive to pass them on to future generations.
