Umekoji Potel Kyoto
JR West Group 's new hotel brand, "Potel," is born.
JR West Holonic Co., Ltd. is developing a new type of hotel, a "community-type casual hotel," primarily for tourists and individual leisure travelers from both Japan and abroad, on the former site of the Kyoto Umekoji employee housing of West Japan Railway Company (hereinafter referred to as "JR West"). We have now decided on the brand name and logo for this new type of hotel.
The new brand "Potel" is a hotel directly managed by JR West Group that aims to provide a fulfilling stay and regional and cultural exchange, creating a comfortable space and a hotel full of features that allow guests to feel the local area, making their stay a memorable one.
The opening of our first store, "Umekoji Potel KYOTO," is scheduled for around spring 2020.
