Hotel Granvia Osaka

Our hotel's pastry chef, Misato Fujino, has won first place in the world! Her winning creation will be available as a limited-edition Christmas cake.

Misato Fujino, pastry chef at Hotel Granvia Osaka (3-1-1 Umeda, Kita-ku, Osaka; General Manager: Shinji Abe), represented Japan at the Stéphane Glacier Cup, an international sugar confectionery competition held in Vannes, France on November 11, 2025.

Fujino fully demonstrated his exceptional skills, resulting in a magnificent victory and the glory of becoming world champion.
Along with the sugar sculpture, the "entremet" (chocolate and praline cake), which was also a judging category, won first place in the taste category, receiving the highest evaluation for both its expressiveness and taste.

As a destination hotel for food, we are deeply honored by this recognition, and to commemorate this achievement, we will be selling a limited edition of 10 entremet cakes, based on the winning entry from this competition, as our Christmas cake, "HANA ~Carrying Our Feelings~".
