Hotel Granvia Okayama (1-5 Ekimae-cho, Kita-ku, Okayama City, President: Makoto Honoi) is holding a naming contest for its special mascot dog, which is made with denim texture unique to Okayama, the birthplace of Japanese-made jeans, in order to allow guests to experience the local culture.

Okayama Prefecture was a center of cotton weaving during the Edo period, and its textile industry remains active today. It is also known as the "birthplace of Japanese jeans" as the first domestically produced jeans were made there in 1960. High-quality denim fabric is used in luxury jeans in Europe and America. This mascot dog was created using denim fabric with a unique texture, and is based on the "dog" that appears in the "Momotaro legend," which has its roots in Okayama Prefecture. This special dog, featuring denim fabric and the hotel's emblem on its ear, can only be found at Hotel Granvia Okayama.
