Hotel Granvia Okayama (1-5 Ekimae-cho, Kita-ku, Okayama City, President: Makoto Motoi) will be selling a special Children's Day cake called "KABUTO2024," inspired by the helmet of Hideie Ukita, the lord of Okayama Castle, for a limited time to coincide with Boys' Day on May 5th.
A kabuto (helmet) decoration is displayed with the wish that the child will grow up healthy and strong. "KABUTO2024" is a chocolate cake modeled after the helmet worn by Ukita Hideie, the lord of Okayama Castle.
Enjoy the fluffy texture of this chocolate sponge cake, topped with layers of strawberries and chocolate cream, then coated with ganache cream and shaped into a helmet.
Furthermore, the crescent-shaped crest, a distinctive feature of the helmet, is recreated using chocolate sprinkled with gold powder, and the side flaps, the shape of the helmet, and the chin strap are all meticulously reproduced.
