Waste cooking oil circulation
We have introduced straws and Toothbrush made from "Kaneka Biodegradable Biopolymer Green Planet®," which is produced by recycling waste cooking oil generated within the hotel. We are also striving to reduce and minimize food waste by converting it into biodiesel fuel and industrial soap.

For guests attending banquets that include meals, we are promoting the "3010 Movement" to reduce and minimize food waste, and we are also utilizing the food sharing service "TABETE" at our five Hotel Granvia locations.
Development and provision of sustainable curry
JR-West Hotels is offering sustainable curry made with non-standard ingredients and undertaking sustainable initiatives themed around "eating what would otherwise be wasted" from GLOBAL GOALS DAY on September 25th to October 31st, which includes Food Waste Reduction Day (October 30th).
