Fushimi Inari Taisha: Prayers, Kagura Dance, & Special Guided Tour
Available exclusively to guests staying on the Granvia Floors (the 14th and 15th floors),  this experience immerses you in the cultural depth of Kyoto through a special tour where guests observe a Shinto prayer, a ceremonial kagura dance, and the shrine office's drawing room.

Exclusive to Granvia Floor Suite Room

Having Yukyu for over 1,300 years, Fushimi Inari Taisha, affectionately known as "O-Inari-san," is the head shrine of the approximately 30,000 Inari shrines located throughout Japan.
It is also known for its beautiful vermilion torii gates, and is widely worshipped as a guardian deity for bountiful harvests, business prosperity, family safety, and improvement in performing arts.
This plan includes a guided tour by a Shinto priest of the normally closed shrine office, the "Shoin," followed by a prayer service at the main shrine and a performance of sacred dance by shrine maidens (Kagura-me) at the Kagura-den (sacred dance hall).

Special Viewing of the Scenic Garden Teahouse "Kokyuan" at Shūon-an Ikkyū-ji Temple  This program offers an experience that allows you to feel the profound depths of Kyoto, and is exclusively for guests staying on the special "Granvia Floor" on the 14th and 15th floors. We will guide you on a special viewing of the Kokyuan teahouse at Shūon-an Ikkyū-ji Temple (Kyotanabe City, Kyoto Prefecture).

Exclusive to Granvia Floor Suite Room

Kokyuan is a beautiful cypress bark-roofed tea room built in the shoin style, where Ikkyu Sojun, a Zen monk from the Muromachi period widely known as "Ikkyu-san," spent the latter half of his life. It exudes a tranquil and elegant atmosphere.
The plum trees visible from the windows of Kokyu-an display different expressions in each season, possessing a beauty reminiscent of a framed Japanese painting, and are a highlight of this special viewing. Furthermore, the garden surrounding Kokyu-an is a nationally designated scenic spot, a Zen temple dry landscape garden, said to have been created by Murata Juko, considered the "founder of the tea ceremony." By gazing at the garden from the simple and tranquil tea room, one can experience the "unity of tea and Zen" that cultural figures of the time pursued.
Why not reflect on the space that remains unchanged from the time when Zen Master Ikkyu gazed upon it?
